Well, another Field Day has come and gone and I think we had a pretty good one this year. We were lucky enough the weather was clear and warm but not as bad as last year which was a bit too hot.

We also had our first combination Field Day and club picnic and had a very good turnout for the picnic part. We had a grand total of 103 visitors which was a good 20+ more than we had for 2009 and our RSVP count worked out very well.

Additionally we made quite a few QSOs, not quite as many as last year, I believe we were short by about 115 but not bad considering we had some off and on radio/antenna issues on Saturday. I also wanted to extend my appreciation for those that volunteered as Station Captains, you folks were a great help to make the Field Day work as were all those that made time to help come by Saturday morning and set up as well as tear down on Sunday.

Next year Allen would like to just be a Station Captain, so if the club would like, I will stay on and Chair Field Day again. Mark, KJ4LUV said he might be able to Co-Chair depending on his work schedule and Allen said if he is really needed he would help out as well.
